Story
One day while resting and asking God, "What's next?" I received an image of Jason and I owning our own spa. I dismissed it as a "nice thought" and moved on. But that image consumed my thoughts day and night. After sharing with Jason, family, and friends, they told me to "Go for it!"

Again while resting, the verse Psalm 23 came to mind and instantly I knew what the spa would be based on! My prayer is that you find a temporary rest while with us, but that you find your ultimate rest in the ONE who provides restorative rest - Jesus!
This is one of those paths I would have never expected to go down, and yet I find myself enjoying the journey! I graduated in 2011 from Mount Mercy in Cedar Rapids with a nursing degree and spent most of my 20s in the operating room. I loved it! Feeling called into ministry, I joined the staff at Zion leading mission trips around the globe and developing relationships near and far. I've always been called to serve - so I shouldn't have been surprised that I'd be called to serve in this way.
I went part time at Zion in 2024 and spent most of that year learning more about this field. I graduated in August from La' James College as an esthetician and completed several courses on scalp care including Basic Trichology of Japanese Head Spa Hair Growth and Scalp Treatment through the Head Spa Academy.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
